Black and White Photography

I used an ISO of 200 and a white balance of cloudy. I avoided a bright background and dressed the kids in solid colors. I used Photoshop to turn the color picture into a black and white picture. In Photoshop, I used the color fill and curves in the adjustment layer.

I used an ISO of 200 and set the white balance to cloudy.  I used the flash to stop the motion from the wind.

I used artificial light for my portrait pictures.  I set up a key light, a fill light, and a back light.  I moved the lights around while taking the pictures.  I also turned the back light off and on.  I tried to work with the shadows on the face.  I set the ISO to 800 and the white balance to Tungusten bulb.  I tried to take pictures at different angles.  I did not use a flash.

"A Walk in the Park" is the title of my photo journalism project.  I used an ISO of 800 and Tungusten bulb for the inside pictures.  For the outside pictures, I used an ISO of 100 along with White Balance set for cloudy.  I tried to take close-up and far away shots.  Also, I tried to take several pictures using different angles.

For my architectural photo assignment,  I took pictures of the Linnean House at the Botanical Gardens.   For the outside pictures, I used an ISO of 100 and set the white balance to cloudy.  For the inside pictures, I used an ISO of 400; 400 worked nice with all the outside light pouring in from the windows.  I set the the white balance to auto.  I used a tripod for all the pictures; the tripod worked nice with my over-exposures and under-exposures.
